Kagiso Rabada Tops ICC Men\'s Test Bowling Rankings After Stellar Performance

Kagiso Rabada has ascended to the pinnacle of the ICC men's Test bowling rankings, overtaking Jasprit Bumrah, R. Ashwin, and Josh Hazlewood, following a remarkable nine-wicket haul in South Africa's first Test against Bangladesh.

In a standout performance, Rabada took three wickets in Bangladesh's first innings, achieving the milestone of becoming the fastest bowler to reach 300 Test wickets. He followed this with an impressive six for 46 in the second innings, leading South Africa to their first Test victory in Asia since 2014.

The latest rankings reflect a shift in positions for several bowlers, with Bumrah and Ashwin both experiencing lackluster performances during India’s defeat to New Zealand in Pune. As a result, Bumrah and Ashwin have dropped below Hazlewood, now sitting third and fourth, respectively.

In a notable rise, Pakistan's left-arm spinner Noman Ali jumped nine places to eighth after securing nine wickets in Rawalpindi, marking his first entry into the top ten of the Test bowlers' rankings.

On the batting front, Rachin Ravindra and Saud Shakeel have made their debut in the top ten of the Test batting charts. Ravindra, who followed up his century in Bengaluru with a half-century in Pune, climbed eight spots to secure the tenth position. Shakeel experienced a significant rise of 20 places to reach seventh after scoring 134 against England.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who briefly fell behind Harry Brook, has bounced back to third place after scoring 30 and 77 in Pune.

Meanwhile, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who contributed a fighting 97 in Bangladesh's second innings and claimed two wickets, advanced two slots to third in the allrounder rankings.
