IPL 2023 Auction: IPL 2023 will be the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. BCCI introduced the Indian Premier League in 2007 and successfully hosted the tournament till date without skipping any season. Even during the COVID-19 outbreak, BCCI hosted the tournament in UAE behind closed doors. During the COVID-19 outbreak, BCCI was not able to host the tournament in its regular “Home and Away” format. But post the IPL 2022 season, BCCI confirms that IPL 2023 will be played in their old format – Home and Away. Mumbai Indians have won the IPL titles 5 times and remain the most successful team of the IPL while Chennai Super Kings won the title 4 times and become the second most successful team.
