India will embark on a white-ball tour of Bangladesh in August 2025, featuring three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). This tour will mark India’s first bilateral T20I series on Bangladeshi soil and serve as a crucial build-up to the 2025 T20 Asia Cup, which will be hosted by India later in the year.
The tour is set to begin with India’s arrival in Dhaka on August 13. The first two ODIs will be held at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on August 17 and 20. The teams will then travel to Chattogram, where the third ODI and the first T20I will be played at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium (formerly known as the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium) on August 23 and 26, respectively. The tour will conclude back in Dhaka with the remaining two T20Is scheduled for August 29 and 31.
This will be India's first white-ball only tour of Bangladesh since 2014, when they played a three-match ODI series in June. The 2025 tour is also noteworthy given the timing — August is generally considered the off-season for cricket in Bangladesh, with only a few international matches hosted during this period in the past, such as the 2017 Test and 2021 T20I series against Australia.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury expressed his excitement about the upcoming series. “This series promises to be one of the most exciting and most anticipated events in our home calendar. India have set the benchmark in international cricket across all formats, and the cricket-loving millions in both countries are sure to enjoy this contest,” he said. “Bangladesh and India have played some very competitive matches in recent years, and I am confident that this will be another hard-fought and entertaining series.”
With high stakes and key preparation ahead of the T20 Asia Cup, fans on both sides can expect a thrilling display of white-ball cricket.
